HookMeApp, Inc. (“HookMeApp,” “we,” “us”) operates hookmeapp.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have about it.
1. What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Name — to address you in emails.
- Email address — to notify you when we launch in your area.
- Neighborhood (optional) — to prioritize which Chicago areas open first.
To keep the form free of bots, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a security check. Cloudflare may
set a cf_clearance cookie during that check; the check also uses your IP
address and a one-time token, processed server-side. We do not use that data for anything
other than bot detection.
2. How we use it
- Maintain the waitlist and send launch notifications.
- Prevent spam, abuse, and duplicate signups.
- Operate and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
3. Where it is stored
Signup data is stored in Cloudflare KV, a database on Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure in the United States. Access is limited to HookMeApp admins via an authenticated endpoint. Cloudflare (Turnstile and KV) processes this data as our service provider.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose it only:
- To service providers (Cloudflare) who process it on our behalf.
- If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
5. Retention
We keep waitlist entries until you ask us to delete them, or until we export and clear the list as we prepare for launch. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Receive a copy of your information.
We do not sell or share personal information (as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act), so there is no opt-out to exercise. We do not discriminate against anyone who exercises these rights. To make a request, email admin@hookmeapp.com. We verify requests by matching the request to the email address on the waitlist entry.
7. Cookies and tracking
We run no analytics and no advertising trackers. The only cookie is Cloudflare's security cookie from the Turnstile bot check. We honor browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals; because we do not sell or share data, they change nothing about how we treat it.
8. Children
The site is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted here.
